A lesson

It was one of the worst days in her life. As she sat down inking the pages of her diary,  she saw her father peep through the half-open door. "Why the hell does he do that? He always said he trusts me and yet I find him peeping in my room every now and then.  Damn this perfect life of mine!" she whisper-yelled to herself. Sighing heavily she continued writing and then she heard him again "Baby girl,  grandma needs something,  can you help her out ?" Urgh!! It was one of the ways he dragged her out of her room she kept herself locked in. "Yeah coming" she shouted on top of her voice making it pretty clear how pissed off she was. Nevertheless, she has to be polite with elders,  gulping down the rage she politely asked what she had to do. She then started untangling her grandmother's hair when she heard her brother "Dad,  can I buy this? " he said showing something on his phone. A smile crept on her father's face as he said " yeah

Top 5 fastest cars

With many ways to measure automotive excellence, there stand some at par than the normal ones and if you’re a petrolhead, there is probably at least something you might wonder about it from time to time. The vehicle speeds set during production at street-legal settings with no custom fits required. For the most of us, the top speed of 225mph hit by the ‘slowest’ of them would be breathtakingly fast, to indulge in understatement.  1. Hennessey Venom GT      source:VenomGT.com Hennessey recorded the top speed of 270.4-mph run at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center Runway last year, but in only one direction. To be considered legitimate, record attempts usually require one run in each direction. An average is then taken to account for wind conditions. With its hand-built nature, a debate arises about whether the Venom GT qualifies as a production car. The Guinness Book of World Records doesn’t recognize it as the world’s fastest car, but this the fastest that legally sports a license

Hopelessness 'Worth it, is it?'

“SAD?” “UPSET?” “DEPRESSED?” How casually we use these words, don’t we? Almost every other individual today is a victim of hopelessness. Hopeless to lead a desired life, hopeless to get a job and hopeless to find love the list goes on endlessly. Above all stands ‘hopelessness to live a happy life’. Why? Why have we become so damn hopeless that we even find it difficult to smile. What went wrong? What is that thing you lack? ‘Nothing at all, I have everything I need. But still that little slot of happiness remains abandoned’ If that’s your answer then I guess that the happiness slot isn’t abandoned but locked. Locked up by you, it is you who can unlock it and unless you do no one can help. Your best friend might hand over the key to you but it is you who has to turn the key and unlock. It is not difficult to find happiness but it is difficult to feel it. Wait! Just hold on a second! Did you ever think why is the door locked? Were you the one responsible for it?

North Korean Missile Test

North Korea has added another mark to its name with the recent launch of Hwasong-12 (ICBM) which was fired over Japan with an altitude of 770 kilometers (480 miles) before it dropped down in the Pacific Ocean. The missile flew about 3,700 kilometers (2,300 miles) past the northernmost island of Hokkaido, this was the second to fly over Japan in less than a month and the first since North Korea's sixth nuclear test and new United Nations sanctions on the country. T he experts stated that it was the furthest any North Korean missile that has ever traveled above the ground and the missile had the capacity to reach the US territory of Guam 3,380 kilometers (2,100 miles). Source: CNN “ No matter how strong the pressure is, it doesn't work for us.” stated the Rodong Sinmun newspaper on Friday. The missile test on Friday set off sirens as a government warning, known as the J-Alert, went out to citizens across a broad swath of northern Japan. J apanese Prime Minister

Finally after the recent incident where the 7-year-old Pradhuman Thakur was stabbed twice for not agreeing to the 41- year-old Ashok Kumar's sexual demands, the Central Board of Secondary Education has issued a notice containing guidelines to ensure a child's safety. Regarding the wake of the recent incidents, many schools are involving parents in committees set to improve security. Source: free press journal P riyank Kanoongo, member-RTE and Education at National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR), has stated that “A student was found murdered in Ranchi. A student drowned in a swimming pool at Bhopal. Such incidents are happening everywhere, in urban and rural schools. But it happens more so in private schools because there is lack of vigilance,”. “We have time and again taken suggestions from parents on security but of late, parents are still anxious so we have decided to include some parents in our security committee. Many have agreed to

The frustrated engineer

Do we even deserve to live in what we call the mother earth? Little kids molested and killed, new born baby burnt, human sacrifice, political perverts etc. Some random questions that hit hard, the existential crisis you see. Rather than looking what mistakes other countries do, why don't we pull out and see what we do?  What action do we take to reduce the crime rate? Can't a random citizen raise their voice? Would they be killed if they do? Why do illiterate politicians hold the power? Why are specific religions targeted?  Why are the innocents killed for the mistake of a radical?  Why are the politicians always hungry for money?  Why are people looked down in the country where everyone is termed equal?  Why are we narrow-minded? Why is it that money always wins?  Why does the piece of paper have to be valued more than human life? Why don't the innocent ever get proper justice?  Will we ever be safe in a country like this?  Will humanity e
