Faith

FAITH

On a mission, audacious and wild
Brutally bruised, yet the spirit's alive
Amidst the valleys, wrecked some lay
Clueless traveler, starts off for a crusade

Sack of regrets, weigh a ton
Pebble strewed path, now blurred
Dropping pieces of the gloomy heart
The darkening sky, casts its shadow

Footsteps decelerate, the winds freeze
The igniting spark, losing heat
Night falls, and solitude steps in
With the falling stars, drown wishes

A silent prayer, hummed by hopes
Heard by the Greatest of Kings
The dawn breaks, untying the ropes
The traveler's dying mission,
only faith had it recouped.
