Mother’s Day in Yugoslavia
Yugoslavia is a country in Southern and Central Europe. Mother’s
day celebration here, might be the weirdest one you’ll ever hear in your life.
It is celebrated in the month of December.
The traditional way of celebrating this occasion is that, early
morning on mother’s day, children creep in their parent’s room and tie up their
mother. Now, in order to be released, the mother has to promise them to give
the children gifts she had hidden from them.
People of Yugoslavia consider this tradition as harmless way
to bring smiles on their faces.
